Our facilities

We believe that the enviorment is a key factor in children’s spontaneous learning and that it must be favourable to the development of the whole child and should offer opportunities for the developmebnt of the potential of each individual. Our environment is divided into different areas for the children:

• A self contained Baby room with a separate snug sleep room
• Purpose built areas for toddlers to children of six years
• Beautifully crafted and purposeful wooden and Montessori equipment throughout the nursery and rooms for all children
• A quiet area in each room with books, music centres, soft bean bags, soft lights and cushions for story and restful times
• A messy play area in each room with sand and water, modeling, drawing, painting and playdough
• A large elevated decking area to the rear that extends from the classroom & toddler area, to provide a ‘free flow’ for the children from the classroom to outside as they choose.
• A very large garden to the back with climbing frames, chutes, a sand pit and outdoor toys. There is a special area with a vegetable plot, herb garden and flower/plant growing area and a new outdoor classroom
• An outdoor lodge that is used for children who wish to spend all of their time in the garden, with shelter when necessary and stores child sized garden tools
• In the vicinity, there are many beautiful walks, a park and shops for wider themes and topics
